Sudden
and drastic change.
The hexagram describes a condition that
has become unsustainable and is ripe
for change. Transformation is available or has come. The development
of the condition may have been gradual but the transformation is
sudden and drastic.
The transformation is not necessarily unwelcome
or uncomfortable. One
may even have seen it coming and been able to prepare for it.
The transformation may occur spontaneously but it
can also be pushed
over the edge.

This is a good time to make a change, if you are not already in the
midst of one.
If any action is taken to initiate the change, it
should only be
sufficient to trigger an existing potential. Any need for a concerted
or forceful campaign is a sure sign that the action is misplaced and
should be stopped.
Conditions that are ripe and suitable for change
should be easily
identifiable. Consider particularly your own state of mind, changeable through
the pursuit of Love. Consider too, the drastic transformation of the human psyche
triggered by the ingestion of psychoactive drugs.
It may be that you are in a position to see the
change coming,
especially if you have initiated an action to trigger it. In this case,
preparations can be made beforehand to ensure that the transformation
occurs as cleanly and as comfortably as possible.
